Ellen Conway 1820-1885
Ellen died on 14th February, 1885 and has a headstone at Hopetoun Cemetery. It was erected by her sister, Margaret Byrne. Could this Margaret Byrne be the Margaret Mallahon who married Patrick Byrne, the son of Patrick and Mary Byrne who lived opposite the Hopetoun Cemetery? Family details have not yet been located.
More recent studies suggest Ellen Conway is the daughter of Mary and Patrick Byrne.
