Patrick was the son of Joseph Nagle and Margaret Bannon and Alice was the daughter of Jeremiah Ryan and Mary Kenny. Patrick Nagle and Alice Ryan (sister of Jeremiah Ryan) married in Cork, Ireland about 1855. They brought their family to Bacchus Marsh about 1860. James, Margaret, Timothy and Patrick were the children of Patrick and Alice.
